Rylan has discovered Barney. If you’re a parent, you know this is both a blessing and a curse. Sure, I get twenty minutes to do things I need to do without being followed by my little shadow, but it comes at the cost of having to listen to a giant purple creature with one of the most annoying nasal voices singing in the background about sunny days and farm animals.
She absolutely loves the show, though. “Bahney! Bahney!” she says with her big, toothy, adorable grin. How can I say no to that? Plus she dances and sings along. It’s just too much cute to handle.
Thanks to the giant purple lizard I was even able to get in a bit of a workout yesterday. First time in over a year. I was excited. The treadmill and I finally became one again. It was gnarly.
Also, I need new headphones. In-ear headphones are the devil. I don’t want to feel my pulse in my ears as I work it up thankyouverymuch.
Oh, for those of you interested, any and all schedules have been thrown out the window. Working on getting back to some semblance of one, but I don’t think the girls are having any of it.
I’m off to say hi to the treadmill once more.
